Medical Cannabis in Kentucky
The Kentucky General Assembly, during its regular sessions in 2024 and 2023, authorized the statewide cultivation, processing, production, and dispensing of medical cannabis, which is set to take effect on January 1, 2025. Under the new law, local governments can adopt zoning and local regulations pertaining to medical cannabis businesses in their communities.
